Welcome to our new International Pairs England licensees, Neil Shinebaum and Scotney Jarvis. Neil and Scotney currently operate in the events management and hospitality sector with their current company Rhodium Events. They come from an event management background and have a vast understanding of the golfing sector and arranging events. International Pairs England is sure in safe hands and we can’t wait to see what they have instore for the golfers in England!

About the new International Pairs England Licensees:
At the age of 38, Neil has a very impressive background in the golf industry, starting his career in golf retail, he quickly moved on to work for The Professional Golfers Association (P.G.A) in tournament administration and management, for one of the leading professionals tours in the UK, The Euro-pro Tour. Neil then moved on to the corporate side of the industry where he worked at the flagship Marriott golf resort, The Forest of Arden, working as part of the team to deliver all of their corporate golf events. Neil was soon appointed to take on the role of Director of Golf for an emerging golf events company, which over a 7 year period he helped grow the business substantially, and was also responsible for the launch of its operations as a golf tour operator. After 12 years in the industry, Neil launched his own Golf Events company and golf tour operator business in 2014 and it constantly striving to offer amazing value for money service to his clients.
Neil Says: “We are extremely excited about becoming the English license holder for the International Pairs. To be part of such an amazing long standing competition, offering the opportunity for one lucky pair to represent England on a world stage, is very exciting. I believe the company is perfectly positioned to bring this to England and utilise many of our contacts and relationships in the golfing world, to make this a must enter event for English golf club members.”
I believe Golf in the England has never been better, we have seen a massive growth in memberships for golf clubs over the last few years, with golf clubs becoming more accessible and promoting a more relaxed and friendly environment for members to enjoy their leisure time. England has so many amazing courses, a real variety of parkland, heathland and links courses that offer unbeatable value for money and experience, in comparison to other countries where golf can still be seen as an elite and expensive sport to participate in. I hope that our involvement in the International Pairs can influence the World Finals to return to the England in the not so distant future, to portray England golf at its best.
Scotney Jarvis started his career from 1986 to 1988 with De Vere Hotels Dormy Hotel Graduate Trainee in Bournemouth
A 2 year live in on-site Graduate Trainee Programme providing an insight of practical working experiences in all departments of a busy and demanding 4 Star Hotel on the South Coast.
Scotney Says: “From 1988 to 2005 I had various roles at the World Famous Belfry Hotel & Golf Resort in Sutton Coldfield
4 Years as Night Club Manager at the Bel Air Night Club, 4 years as Conference & Banqueting Manager, 5 Years as the Golf Operations Manager and a final 4 years as Director for Golf Sales
My various Management roles over the 17 years at The Belfry taught me not only how to deal with clients on a day to day basis but also face to face. Invaluable customer service skills and invaluable sales skills.
My roles also allowed me to employ staff to service the customers requirements and in the conference and banqueting era, I was well known for employing retired personnel to deal with the client’s expectations which was featured in the UK’s Caterer Magazine.
I moved into Golf operations when an opportunity arose, and my love of the game increased and was honoured to be asked by the Managing Director of the resort to manage the 2000/2001 American Ryder Cup Team for the duration of the event.
In 2000, I was rewarded for my work ethic and love of golf by taking complete control of the selling of 3 golf courses for the Belfry Resort and recruiting a sales team to deal with all enquiries.
Headhunted to create a new Events business offering and delivering high class Golf Days, Conferences and Event Management with another Senior member of staff from the Resort and after 9 years, Neil and I decided to take the plunge and set up Rhodium Events & Hospitality Ltd. A brand-new company where we manage our own business and accounts providing a high level of customer service in an extremely competitive industry both in the UK and events around the World.
It involves venue searching, negotiating with the venue, creating proposals, managing the contract, billing of the whole project and providing a full Event Management Service to both UK and Worldwide enquiries for golf events, conferences and incentives.”
We wish Neil and Scotney all the best and are sure their events will be a huge success.
